  1. This lander is the first commercial lander from the US to land on the moon. It was also developed and built remarkably cheaply. Having a camera that could get a live image was probably less important than the scientific experiments that are planned. And there was a cube sat designed to take videos of the craft as it descended to the lunar surface. If it worked properly it could provide a unique view. It will take time to download the data. Try to look at what was positive about this lander instead of looking for something to criticize. Just a thought.

  2. 1) When you don't understand why we went to the moon in the first place 55 years ago then you will inevitably make a false assumption now which you just did. 55 years ago the americans landed on the moon in the first of seven attempts six were successful. We went to the moon because we were competition to get to the moon before the Soviets who had had beaten the US in several first firsts into space by the Soviets beginning a decade earlier. Since then there was no longer any will to go to the moon again until we started to prepare a decade ago. Congress AND the public were less interested in going back to the moon so we didnt go. I'm always glad to fix misunderstandings for people about why we hadnt gone back to the moon in 50 years.

  3. The lander released a cube sat intended to video te landing. Slow download speeds mean it won't be available for a few days . Deal with it.

  4.  @saulg-j7435  When a comparable investment is made to land on the moon then we can expect better images from the landing. But this was a very low budget mission by a company sending a lander into space and to the moon for the first time.

  5. ​ @sporehux8344  A cube sat was planned t be released as the lander descended which was meant to video tape the landing. Slow down load speeds from the moon mean it may take a few days before the image is released.
