@Agnot Wot. That isn't an equivalent circumstance because it is not as if the UK or the US is threatened by Russia.

@TorianTammas Except that Ukraine is not a NATO member and thus is not obligated to provide the highest level of support. e.g. Sending enough troops to engage in direct conflict for example. The US has sent a lot of troops, but there is no way they would be deployed in direct conflict with Russia in support of Ukraine. The US did unnecessarily ramp up tensions in this dispute by sending some 3000 troops as a support unit.
