  1. Brazil is following a similar path as the US. First Trump was elected by a thin margin and largely due to voter suppression, gerrymandered precincts, removing voters from voter rolls and dysfunctional voting machines. That is how desperate republicans to stay in power and a sign of how corrupt they have become. Then Trump was impeached by the US House but not found guilty in the joke of a Senate trial in which the republicans didn't allow any witnesses to be called. Now Trump is going out of his way to make it difficult for this pandemic to be confronted with any degree of effectiveness. This list of his incompetence and corrupt policies are far too long to list here. This ensures that the US will continue to have the highest count of any country for the foreseeable future. This is especially true since Trump has given his "blessing" that meat packing plants stay open and that several states can begin to reopen at least partially despite no state is doing adequate testing.
