@tomfagan7053 Then check with a psychiatrist about your tendency for delusional statements.

They have all been investigated in the past and zero evidence was ever found to indict any of them! Time to move on!!
5
FYI I see a lot of cars destroyed by tornadoes so that comment misses the point.
3
Idaho doesn't belong in the group of states since we are talking about tornadoes hitting the other 4.
3
Nebraska and Iowa were hit by dozens of tornadoes yesterday. That's not in the South. Every place has some sort of natural hazard. It all depends on what you are willing to risk. Sulphur hadn't been hit like it was since it was formed over a hundred years ago.
2
The violent crime is actually down significantly from the past. Many cities like St Louis have a higher violent crime rate.
2
People build with what they can afford. People basically play the odds hoping they won't get hit cuz they had gone decades without being hit.
2
And no previous president has committed as many felonies and criminal acts as trumpy!
2
@abherlowkz. Or on the coast where hurricanes can hit or at west where fires happen!? Are you looking for some kind of oasis that is risk free?!?! 😅😂
2
Have you talked to your counselor about those beliefs of yours???
2
They often do cuz the survivor of a storm may bring it up.
2
trump is a malignant narcissist, con man, and now convicted of 34 charges. He isn't anything like us!!
1
Oh, you mean like the criminals in this country that haven't been caught yet, but still vote as they pretend they are innocent?! Those voters??

If it were a 5 the buildings would be leveled to ground level with no wall standing and some pads would be gone. Also bark would be peeled off of trees. And the wind speed would be measured at over 200 mph. The damage in sulphur was bad but not that extreme and wind speed was about 135 mph making it an EF 3.
1
You need to let all of that go and accept that trump was found guilty after just 11 hours of jury deliberations.
1
And what state would you move to?? Name it and I'll tell you about the natural disasters that can happen there too!!
1
An EF2 has winds up to 135 mph which is the strength of winds in a low end Cat 4 hurricane. From that perspective it's not surprising.
1
Nobody ever "bootstraps their way back" from something like this. Maybe they did a 100 years ago, but then they had no choice.
1
Many and perhaps most people can't afford concrete and brick homes. This was an EF 3 which destroyed some brick buildings in Sulphur. So an EF5 would tear up most brick structures. Maybe concrete would survive, but that is not practical for a lot of people.

@texasbeast239 It's always a gamble anyway. Many people live in Florida with no insurance mostly because it's too expensive. Most people live on an average income and can't afford to build a house that could stand up to a EF 3 let alone an EF 5 tornado. And the odds are they would be right over the course of their lifetime. But obviously a lot of people lose out by not having a more sturdy house. That's not really any different than people who can't afford insurance in Florida or insurance out west in case of a bad fire. Life's a gamble in many ways.

@diversafriday DEW is the latest conspiracy theory by people who can't accept that climate change is making the weather more extreme. After all they can't point to any direct evidence and can't explain it AT ALL if you ask them.
1
@stevenjames7667 And what happens when the drought and record high temperatures return and the Colorado river slows to a trickle?! Where will most of the state get its water for people and agriculture? That would also be a natural disaster of a sort. And like New Mexico where I live Arizona is vulnerable to lethal forest fires which are also natural disasters for some areas. So you/we have different natural disasters!
1
As opposed to where else? On the southeast coast there are hurricanes. Out west there are fires or earthquakes ( though less often). In most of the country there are floods! It all depends on what you are comfortable with and what risk you can tolerate.
1
Have you even noticed the size of the area where tornadoes can occur? Or flooding? Or hurricanes? Or fires? 🙄

I don't think that so called lesson is superceded by the Rule of Law. This country is based on the Rule of Law as mandated by the Constitution. This coward of a former president would like to throw out the Constitution and make himself king for life. He has repeatedly violated the Constitution when he was president and afterwards.
