Let's see how many places in the US can natural disasters make houses disappear; Hurricanes on the east coast and Gulf! Tornadoes from the plains east! Flooding just about everywhere! Forest fires in the west, but they are moving east! That doesn't leave much of the country untouched by potential disaster does it??

@fmcdomer I don't if he still lives in the same house, but Gates built an enormous house on Puget Sound near Seattle if I'm not mistaken. That area has a history earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and wild fires. Like I said virtually every place in the US is vulnerable some sort of natural disaster! Any more questions?

@fmcdomer I live in the desert southwest where our threats are more long term as in prolonged drought which can threaten the water supply and compromise the farming industry. Plus we have a serious wildfire hazard during times drought and heat waves which threatens forests and infrastructure. These are two hazards that have only gotten worse in the last decade.

@fmcdomer You could ask the same question of literally hundreds of millions of other people around the world who live in hot climates. I dont mind the hot weather and there is a genuinely a exhilarating feeling being out on a hot day. 100-105 is my sweet spot. Of course I always have to make sure I have enough water.
