Thankd for raising this topic on discriminating healthy skepticism from conspiracy theory and delusional thinking. The former defines the what most people in the world want to see particularly the liberal and progressive community whereas the latter defines defines trump and the maga movement. There is of some gray area in this distinction because nothing is truly black and white.

Such as?? Why can't you at least provide an example?? I thought David was very clear in his explanation as opposed to what you commented.

You have a knack for making general and vague statements which don't really say anything because your comment is so nonspecific. As an example your use of slang term "cray cray" instead of what you actually mean is a sign you shouldn't be taken seriously.

That is exactly like what creationists and fundamentalists say in their literal interpretation of the Bible. Since their beliefs are not based in data and evidence their claims are non-falsifiable. Such beliefs are how to make people think noncritically and thus dumbs down conversations.

@hwhack What you did right there is take the word 'beliefs' out of my comment and out of context to completely misunderstand what I stated. Because I never spoke of my beliefs, but instead of the creationists and fundamentalists who are committed to their beliefs with no concern for data or the evidence. See the difference?

@hwhack Your comment clearly demonstrates that you couldn't follow my line of reasoning. All you have are accusations and judgments which means you have nothing to stand on. Keep trying though, you may yet have the truth in yourself!!

Your comment strongly suggests that you misunderstood the distinction that David was making between a healthy skepticism that uses evidence to evaluate a system vs using conspiracy theory which uses a blanket approach to denying everything about the issue in question like saying all vaccines are bad, but having no evidence to back up any of those claims.
