  3. @Mike Studmuffin The eagle looks more robust because of his feathers and his bones are hollow like all birds. This eagle is 12-14 pounds at the most.

  6. It's called mantleing which all birds of prey do instinctively to hide their prey from other predators. Of course it doesn't work as well as intended.

  8. Actually several eagles are much bigger. The Harpy eagle in the Amazon and Central America can be up to 20 lbs or 9 kgs. Philippine eagle is also very large. They both hunt monkeys.

  9.  @shelbyrice3860  Eagles hunting children are extremely rare and thus not worth mentioning as likely prey of eagles. Even shark attacks on people are relatively rare, but still far more frequent then eagles preying on children.
