One theory that wasn't addressed in this video for the large size of dinos I have read from other sources was the elevated oxygen levels. I read that oxygen was as high as 30 % during the Jurassic and Cretaceous. Couldn't this have been an important factor in the large size? I sought to answer this question myself and the following 2013 article from Science Daily which tells of a study that measured C12 and C13 ratios in amber to discern the oxygen level back in the Jurassic and Cretaceous. Amber provides new insights into the evolution of Earth's atmosphere: Low oxygen levels for dinosaurs What the study found was oxygen was actually LOWER then it is now. The range was 10--15 % compared to 21 today. If true this would eliminate a high oxygen value as the cause for giganticism in dinosaurs. This was just one study though it did appear to be thorough in sampling over 500 pieces of amber.
