@xsamrx4718 the celts didnt call themselves celts , thats a greek term ,which is what ive told you ,keltoi. And its a reference to a foreigner . In any case the term was popularised at a much later date . The romans used celtae . We dont actually know what they called themselves ,i imagine as they were varied tribes of people ,each would call itself by its own language ,which were different from one another . A gael would not understand a pict nor a cymri ,nor a breton . These migrating tribes would at the same time mingle with pre celtic people in whatever geographic territory they settled in. The celtic culture youre suggesting are the hallstatt people from central europe spreading westwards and are the supposed precusors . However ,these in turn have influences from other indo european cultures and their migrations from the euroasian steppe . Its a complex development of local cultures influenced by earlier migrations and interactions. So they werent one people by any stretch of the imagination.
You may well say we come from africa ,but the cradle of civilization is the mesopotamian territory from where many of the early migrations into europe stem from . Agriculture started there and was exported to europe with such migrations aiding the development , growth and evolution of new cultures .
