@jpcodnia9133 that's not accurate, the Spanish threw out the British colony but gave it back a year later under treaty 1771. The Argentines, which there weren't many of as they only took a few gauchos the rest were Indian and black workers, went over with permission from the British consulate in Buenos aires, vernet, for a new business adventure, he exceeded his powers and was dealt with by the Americans, he'd apparently confiscated an American wailing ship and taken it back to Buenos aires. The British settled the problem by having a permanent administration there in 1833. Its was never argentine, it was never inherited from Spain as under international a third country has no such rights. In any case Spain only recognised argentinas independence in 1863 the same year it recognised the falklands were british
The Argentines have no real claim over anything but their greed. They stole territories from Chile and want these islands too. But legally they haven't rights and they know it, yet they still keep emotionally blackmailing third world countries in the UN for support claiming colonialism. But in reality, the falklands have no native people and are therefore owned by those who worked the land first. The intolerant ones are Argentina in all of this.
