@ bedandbreakfastman11 They visualised a European federation, but what we got instead was the Eu. Born without any consent - already a rocky start which is why its overlords never really fully grasped the concept of democracy. And would they had guessed back then that Brussels would be calling the shots as they do now ? Certainly Churchill wouldn’t have had. Better to be ‘isolated’ than to be intertwined with so much red tape and European grey bureaucracy like Ireland is now with nobody to represent its people. Thats why, among other things they are protesting.

@ bedandbreakfastman11 The UK won’t be rejoining, no. You are not looking at the wider picture. The majority of the Irish now want out. The AfD party in Germany is growing, Macron time is coming to an end - and the want for reclaiming independent nation states is on the rise.
