Your assertion that "I was surprised at the violence of my feelings", is nonsensical. ..."I was surprised at the intensity of my feelings", makes sense.

  4.  @Jermz1979  Glad you finally admit the meaning of words is not violence. The meaning of words may incite violence, and the meaning of words may provoke violence. But it is the actual act of physical force that is the violence, not the words. ... Hitting me with Sticks and stones may break my bones But words alone are never violence.

The words "Peaceful violence" is nonsense, just like the words "a square circle" is nonsense. Meaningful communication is difficult and sometimes impossible when people assign their own nonsensical definition to words.
