  1. He invested the money and talent to bring practical EVs into existence, which we are not near to achieving, yet, and that kind of pioneering spirit I can respect. Also, there's SpaceX, and the satellite program tied to that is huge. The main problem is, they want to bring this tech into the world, now, and not wait for it to be refined and developed. The EV idea will die a slow death because of it, despite government intervention. Quick charging batteries, which can be charged as fast as filling a tank, and can last as long as a tank of gas, is a good way off, yet. I receive two magazines about military and tech development, and both keep me up to date about where the EV program actually is.
