@MrKago1 45 tried his best to bring back what was known as the old conservative coalition that ran under Taft, which was what Goldwater was at one time. That is where America First originated.
During the thirties, there was a group of Trotskyites in the D Paty that were anti-Stalinist, and claimed to be against "Soviet Socialism." They were known as the "New York Intellectuals," and were from a handful of colleges and universities, who had ties to the Frankfurt School professors, and the Bloomsbury Group, as well as the Fabian Society in the UK. This group broke away from the Democrats, and joined the R Party, calling themselves neoconservatives, or the "New Right."
The New Right took over the GOP, with the help of Dewey from New York, in the 1952 election. That was the end of the old and real conservative's control. The neocons controlled the party up to 2015-16.
We had the neoliberals (New Left) as well, with LBJ, Carter, Clinton and Obama, and they're the same beasts.
LBJ was taking money from Maheu the same as Nixon. That led to Watergate under Nixon. Both sides are corrupt, and in bed with each other, which is why their internationalist warmongering foreign policy has always matched.

The government, and both political parties, have been using cutouts for many long years, and they're either law or PI firms. That gives them plausible deniability. Nixon, a dirty Trotskyite, was famous for using them (Robert Maheu et al).
Trotsky's brand of communism/socialism fit in well with China after Nixon was elected. That is why they embraced this brand of capitalism, as Lenin had done the same in Russia. These Trotskyites were anti-Stalinist, and claimed to be against "Soviet socialism." They became the neocons.
45 ended up owning a hotel chain, which also owned Maheu's PI firm. Guess what he learned of over those two years? Think Nixon, Bush, and Clinton. Corruption galore.
