Crony capitalism, expansionism, imperialism, and the caste system at its best. The public is unaware of how complicit the Roosevelts and Astors were with Britain, and the aristocracy, especially about US involvement in WWII. Then, there was the intermarrying of the British aristocrat's daughters to wealthy US robber barons. This association goes back even farther, to the 1890s, with Rhodes and the Roosevelts, and those in bed with the crown. The Federalists are why Jefferson created the Republican Party, earlier, in the first place. Socialism is appealing to the Federalists, as its all about a big brother government, and control. Through law, they removed themselves out of the tax system, with scams such as foundations, etc. During the Congress of Vienna , in 1814-15, the aristocrats of Prussia, Russia, and Austria swore to stomp out Republicanism one day, though it's claimed that Britain didn't agree at that time. Of course, Britain was also in the middle of signing the Treaty of Ghent (Dec. 1814) at the same time, stopping the War of 1812.
