  1. The truth about "eternal rest" is, simply put, you're dead. The brain no longer functions, and you rot away, turning back into dust. Your soul (the divine spark and connection to The Creator - The All) has left you. When one is very old, feeble, and infirm, death is sometimes welcomed with open arms, and seen as an "old friend." There are things much worse than death upon this earth.
