  1. One should strive to have an easy life for themselves, and their family, but not be materialistic, and having a want to always compete with the Joneses next door. You'll see materialism within much of the wealthy elite, who strive to have the largest and most expensive homes, the largest yachts, the most expensive automobiles, the most expensive clothes, and the most expensive accessories, etc. Nothing satisfies them, no matter the cost. Some even go so far as to decorate their homes like the most luxurious and exclusive hotels and resorts that they've stayed at.
