  1. Yule is pagan, and Christmas, which replaced it, is Christian. Kronia, Saturnalia, the Carnival, and Mardi Gras are all part of it. The twelve-volume set of books titled: The Golden Bough: A Study in Magic and Religion, explains all of this.

The sacred grove is also where the wild hunt originates, as well as many other things.
