  1. If you want to get a feel for what the left has planned for the US, then watch the videos about the British NHS waiting lists, and the people living on the dole in their council estates. If you really want to see what socialism leads to, then those videos would be a good start. The US economy was doing great, after WWII, over the 1944 Bretton-Woods Agreement, but it took one president to feck it up, and that was Lyndon Johnson, with his Great Society dole, and his spending on Vietnam. Nixon inherited it, and tried to stop it, but the left would have none of it. It's why the Democrats went after Nixon, and set him up. The US has had a trade deficit ever since. Many scholars and economists lay the collapse of our economy squarely on LBJ's shoulders. Look up the Bretton Woods system, and read about it. You will also notice, that it has been the Democrats, who have added each new socialist program after Johnson, except for GW Bush, who is a neocon. They are no longer the old Democrats, they're socialists.
