  3. diatonicjon: It's not binary, just facts about what happened. The left consists of far-left socialists, (progressives, open communists, and fellow travelers, along with Antifa), then there are those whom are a little more moderate, who actually sympathize with the Nazis and Fascists, and still do, (the KKK, etc), and last, the Neoliberals, whom are moderate-socialist and globalist. Unions always side with the left, and they have shown themselves to be violent in their strikes. Socialists have always used violence as a means to an end, and they have since the French Revolution. Hillary and Bill wore purple for a reason, when she first appeared after losing the election. The "Purple Revolution" was all pre-planned if she lost. The right has the Neocons, (Bush, Cheney et al), whom are pretty close to the same as the Neoliberals, in their thinking, except that they're a little more conservative, but still back globalism. After that, you have the moderate conservatives, who support things such as Social Security, and helping the truly needy, such as the infirm and handicapped, but are against welfare entitlements to those that can work. Then, at the far right, there are those who are against any government program, and are for a very small and limited federal government. The right, (Republicans), though, have always been against using violent groups, especially with strikes, protests, and riots. That's why more people of religion are on the right, especially Protestants. However, socialism exists all through the left, and to a lesser amount, right of center, with the neocons (Bush Family). In Germany, when Antifa was formed in the thirties, it consisted of both Communists and National Socialists. They wanted to work together to run Germany. As Hitler came to power, he dropped some of the National Socialist's twenty-five point plan, as he used the banks, and worked with a few wealthy industrialists. Also, he went after the Communists in his purges. When WWII was over, Antifa rose again, but this time, they hated the Nazis, and especially the Italian Fascists, because they weren't socialist enough, and the Nazis had turned on them. The so-called Alt-Right, (alternative to the right), consists of Nazi and Fascist sympathizers, along with Klan members. So, there's two left-wing groups, Alt-Right vs. Antifa, at each other's throats. Hillary made the mistake of trying to associate the Alt-Right with the Republican Party, since many of us know their true history. The truth came out, even about the alt-right's leader. Worse, in Charlottesville, it was the Vice-Mayor, who is a member of the Black Panthers, (a communist front group), along with the ACLU, who set that confrontation up. Socialist ideology verses capitalist and conservative ideology is the divide, and that makes the two parties. There are moderate to the extreme on both sides. The main difference that affects me the most, is that the right isn't anywhere near as violent, and it is pro liberty and natural rights.

  4. diatonicjon: In the US, it all started over Federal Banking. Everybody was Democratic Republicans at the time. However, the Federalists, (e.g. Hamilton et al), who wanted big government, also wanted a non-regulated National Bank, besides the Wall Street and state banks. These National banks failed, until the last National Bank's charter was stopped by Andrew Jackson in 1832. That was the divide that actually separated the people who became Republicans from the Democrats. Jackson and the Democrats didn't want any banking, especially federal banking, but the industrialized north wanted banking, as it required capital to grow. The south was plantation farming, which used slaves as the workforce, instead of machinery. After the plantations were built, and paid off, they were pretty much self sufficient. In America, slave owners allowed the slaves to reproduce, and they enslaved the children, so they had a replenishable workforce. Outside the US, the British colonies, in the Caribbean, kept buying slaves, when others died off. Anyhow, that started the split, and the flames were fanned by European investors in the National Bank. Within thirty years time, 1832 to 1861, Civil War broke out over it. The British slave laws coincided with stopping the bank. They used slavery as a wedge issue. You will hear people claim that the British banned all slavery then. No, they didn't. They banned it everywhere except for the East India Company in Asia. Before this, they had banned the slave trade, but still used slaves in their colonies. You'll also hear that the Civil War was over slavery. No, it wasn't. Read Lincoln;s inauguration speech. He told the southerners that he would not ban slavery. What started the war, was the southern states secession, before Lincoln was sworn in, and those states confiscating federal property, mainly forts and armories. It was taking back a fort, where the first shot started the whole war. Anyhow, the Brits and the French had the idea to fan the flames of war, and they sent troops to both Canada and Mexico, waiting for us to kill each other off, in order to invade the US, and take it back. It didn't work, as Lincoln took over the printing of our money, and told the Wall Street banks to go jump off a cliff. They had asked as high as around 35% interest to finance the war for Lincoln. They pulled the same thing with the south. They printed their own money too. Ending slavery came later, after the war started. All the banking, then, was state banks, or private. There was no federal bank, one with government involvement. That is why the Democrats like socialism, as it is akin to feudalism and the plantation ideology. That is also why Republicans are capitalists, and are pro-banking, as industry, big business, and free trade can't flourish without it. Industry is based on capital, and when a business needs to expand, or build new plants, banks are required. The differences between Republicans and Federalists, are the need for some banking regulation, and a smaller and leaner federal government. Bigger government means more regulation. WWII, however, ruined the US, with the military industrial complex. It hired so many, that it would collapse the economy if it were stopped. That is why the left and right back it. It is an unavoidable evil, but Trump is well versed on paring down on the cost. The left sees more spending, as hiring more, and the right sees it as being able to afford it. To support the war industry, the US agreed to be Europe's bully on the block. To be in NATO, they have to buy weapons from us.

  5. diatonicjon: To get an idea of the history about what happened, you'll have to look at the bank's history, British history, and US history, starting as far back as Hamilton and the Federalists. Then, read both the south and north's histories, as they differ in opinion. However, to read about the split, you'll have to study Andrew Jackson, then the Whigs (Patriots), who became the Republicans, banks, tariffs and so on. It's a convoluted mess of one side fighting the other, with the Brits and Europeans fanning the flames, over Jackson's threats, and what he finally did with the National Bank charter. The Whig Party was formed, along with others, and they became the Republican Party under Lincoln. Whig, in the US, was a term they used for the old Patriots. You have to remember, that during that time, there weren't many years separating the Revolution, and Jackson's time in office. Jackson had served during Washington's last term, in the house and senate for Tennessee. The Brits still didn't accept the US as a sovereign nation, and they wanted it back. The left will claim that there was some kind of switch, between the parties in the sixties and seventies, but that isn't true, as I lived through that time. What had happened, was that trade unions began asking for too much in the north, so manufacturing started moving south. Northerners started moving south to find jobs, especially younger workers. That is what shifted the politics of the south, to carry the GOP in place of the Democrats who had held it. Nixon used what he called the southern strategy to get the votes, and it worked. It wasn't about people switching parties, except for the black population. The blacks switched over MLK, JJ, LF, and others telling them to, because of Johnson's welfare package. Before that, the GOP had the majority of the black population's votes, and the GOP was the reason why they even have civil rights laws, as the Democrats voted against them each time, in congress. Malcolm X was involved in it, until he saw what was really happening, and then tried to warn the black population. They murdered him for it. Funny, isn't it, that the GOP was the one who pushed through every civil rights bill, but when the people that those laws were protecting, were offered free money by the Democrats, they left the GOP in droves, only to become slaves on a plantation again. Slaves, dependent on their master, for their housing and welfare. That is how communism also works, the community collective, controlled by government, who owns the property and housing, but also pays them a paltry stipend to the collective. It's all about control, and the same thing as feudalism, or as Reagan wrote to Nixon, a "benevolent monarchy." Johnson used words that are too vulgar to use, when he bragged about what he had done.
