Polyphemus on his mountain top. It would have started with the hunter-gatherers, and it is thought that it expanded with the first civilization, if one could call it that, with those that had domesticated the aurochs and horse, as well as the wheat farmers along the Volga River, especially around Samara. For some reason, there was a great migration, and with that came their language, culture, knowledge, and religion.
The Kurgan hypothesis supports this, as well as DNA studies.

Polyphemus on his mountain top. It would have started with the hunter-gatherers (cave dwellers) who moved out upon the Eurasian steppe, and it is thought that it expanded with the first civilization, if one could call it that, with those that had domesticated the aurochs and horse, as well as the wheat farmers along the Volga River, especially around Samara. For some reason, which remains unknown, there was a great migration, and with that came their language, culture, knowledge, and religion.
I also think that they have their timeline off and that the great migration occurred farther back than they claim.
The Kurgan hypothesis supports this, as well as DNA studies, except for their dating.
