The Democrat's ideology has been, since the 60s, to have a minimum guaranteed wage for everyone, paid by the government, do away with the middle-class, and tax the rich for it all, along with nationalizing all industry. You know, I believe I read that somewhere else before! Ah yes, it was in the writing of Marx and Engels. Funnily enough, that is what the UN and the EU have been preaching for too.
