  1. They hate anything that supports nationalism and the love of the US nation. Their race card has worn itself out. . Many don't realize that Jefferson was the founder of the Republican Party, which was the alternate name of the Anti-Federalist Party. It didn't become the Democratic-Republican Party until the supporters of Madison, who were members of the Democrat Clubs, joined the new party. After the Republicans completely left the party by 1829, they came back as the National Republicans, the Whigs, and finally, the Republican Party/GOP under Lincoln. Jefferson's ideology was of the Whigs and Edmund Burke. On top of that, Madison's ideology was different, especially about banking, (which he wanted none of), that led to Jackson and the destruction of the D-R Party. Jefferson was pro-state banking, but against central banking. Both, though, were against Hamilton's want for a big federal government, his ties to Britain, and the want for a central bank. They had to compromise about the bank, in the end, over the war debt, which led to the famous dinner between Jefferson, Madison, and Hamilton.
