These are the same insinuations that the Federalists have been using since the ink on the Constitution was drying. They used the same rhetoric leading up to the Civil War to hide the real reasons behind invading the south, which Lincoln actually admitted to, and that was mainly the north losing tax and tariff revenue from the southern states, as well as not wanting to pay the slaveholders recompense for the slaves like the British had done. It was never about what they claimed it was. Segregation was a direct result of the north trying to take over southern politics by using the African American community as pawns, and they've used the race card ever since, to where they've finally worn it out.
