Peter Lermann: When speaking of the "left," the term, far-left, is generally reserved for Marxism, communism, Maoism or anti-capitalism with me. It doesn't and shouldn't describe the left as a whole. From communism, going right, there's the 1940s progressives (ran by communists), the several other socialist movements (including Nazism and Fascism), then there's Johnson's great society Democrats, the new deal Democrats, the pre-1900 Jeffersonian Democrats, and today's centrist neo-liberal, which in reality, is Rockefeller liberal capitalism that some on both the left and right support. That's just thinking of some off the top of my head. When I state far-left, it's always communism that I'm referring to.
