In other words, he wasn't orthodox, which is the best way to state it. Jesus' religion was another sect of Judaism, which became known as the Nazarene Sect post-death. There were many differing beliefs in the sect by the time of the Council of Nicaea, where everything was decided, and a credo was established upon Constantine's order.
Ask yourself why Jesus was referred to as the "Son of Man" over seventy times in the NT, and why, in John, it states that he sat at the right hand of God.
However, Jesus supposedly did say that the law of the Pharisees was not to be changed one jot nor tittle. Though he was most definitely educated in Gnosticism, how much he actually believed in, and supported, is up to debate.
