When free speech is censored, it is a sign that those wanting it censored have something to hide, or that they have nothing to rebut it with. When debate is stifled, it means that the side who is denying it, has no platform, are in the wrong, and they know it. This is why there are not many laws against free speech. All we have are the civil penalties, such as defamation of character, libel, and slander, and the federal ones which are about inciting the violent overthrow of government with sedition and insurrection. Everything else, ones thoughts expressed in speech, are fair game, whether it hurts some sniveling snowflake's feelings or not. Thus, hate speech laws are considered unconstitutional. A free man has the right to hate another, and express it in speech, irregardless if it hurts the feelings of another. One can always not listen to it, nor read it.
