  1. There have always been messianic figures walking about, and probably within every generation. Some just have enough charisma to find a following, and it is all based upon: "Our prophecized savior will soon appear, and lead us to the promise land. The end is near!" Even worse, are the cults that wish to hasten the messiah's arrival, such as the dispensationalists.
