The southern states, in the US, wanted to abolish it exactly as England did, but Congress refused to refund the holder's debts, which would have bankrupted the planters or holders if the slaves were simply "freed." The holders had taken huge loans from the cotton mills in places like New York to buy them. England paid their holders what they had invested, and went on about their business, where the slaves were freed.

  18. The truth is, it was the US and UK behind creating the UN and its multiple organs. It was designed to stop another world war, not really help with world health. The WHO was supposed to stop disease in war-torn countries until they rebuilt, so the diseases wouldn't spread to the allied nations. After rebuilding, they've tried to not only keep it going, but to grab power for themselves. These are anti-war fanatics that will do anything, and they love power.
