Joshua Halpern: Sadly, some, as the commenter above, only see this from a religious standpoint, but never the political, nor do they understand the corruption of past governments, and why the Jews have always been attacked. Almost in every incidence, the few Jews that were the goldsmiths and the first banks, were those that corrupt monarchs over-borrowed from and preyed upon. The monarch's lavish spending, and wars, led to them not being able to pay back what was due, and the Jews were accused of many things, so that these corrupt monarchs could purge the very people they were in debt to, if not murder them. Those monarchs stole the money. The entire time the Roman church preached against usury, they were secretly borrowing from the Jews, which they forced to live in the ghettos. Philip the Fair was one such monarch. He was up to his neck in debt to the Lombardy Bankers, the Goldsmiths, and the Templars. When he couldn't pay it back, he started the purges, blackmailing the pope, and started with the Lombardy bankers, then the Jewish Goldsmiths, and finally, the royal bankers, the Templars. We see how that worked out, and this has happened several times in history. They still blame the Jews for what corrupt governments, monarchs, and politicians did. Many forget that it was the British government that promised Palestine to the Jews, if they won the war. Turkey carries just as much blame. Instead of blaming the governments behind it, they blame the Jews. I can't blame the Jews for wanting a home to move to, when they have been vilified by those who don't know the truth, as well as the corrupt governments behind the lies.

The left, in the Middle-East, such as the MB and Baath Party, have always been in bed with the radical socialists, and those radicals are what the many wars were over.
