  1. A "fit of morality" describes today and yesterday pretty well, as the socialist movement is a product of Protestantism, which rose up during Victorian times, and spread out. That is why, today, they still have their martyrs and crusaders. When one realizes that the entire movement is based upon idealism, religious quackery and moral authority, then we might be able to finally move on, disregard it, and push past it.
