  1. Well, the French did tear down religion, and they replaced it with the Cult of Reason, even creating a statue for a new goddess. They turned reason into an atheistic religion. On top of that, they created a Temple of Reason as well. Robespierre replaced this with his new religion, the Cult of the Supreme Being, which was deistic. This was when everything was about to come to a head.

  2.  @christophermichaelclarence6003  I think she was the same thing. Their temples were in the old Catholic Church buildings, with the Notre-Dame Cathedral being their number one prize. Some of these churches still have carvings stating things about the Temple of Reason.

  3.  @markraftis  Yes, and I wonder why they don't. There were a few other cults underway during that time, with some other Frenchmen. One, I believe, had the busts of three different people at the front. I can't remember the particulars of that one at the moment.
