Essentially, that organization has had visions of grandeur since its inception. From day one, and just like under the League, they blamed the British Empire and Colonization for all the world's woes. Essentially, there were other Western nations that didn't get their slice of the world pie, so they petulantly started two world wars. That has always been that organization's claim. During the Paris Peace Conference, Japan demanded that they be allowed to expand, and we witnessed what they did when they invaded China and Southeast Asia. They also cut a deal with Germany to split the Soviet Union between them. This led to Lord Balfour and others to start a plan of decolonization just after WWI. This is why we're seeing what we are today, and why they're making the claims they do.
