  2. It's according to whether the families can afford it or not, because as I understand it, the Swedes had a hard way to go for many years over high taxation. During WWII, American GIs were warned not to ask the British for food, even when it was offered, because of their economy at the time. The British had a term, "roof rabbits," which were house cats to eat because of the lack of food.

  3. As a kid, and I'm 57 now, in the US, we would pick up tossed soda bottles, and take them to the store for the refund. That taught us a work ethic, where the money we received, 0.05 per bottle, bought us food, a drink, and sometimes, even smokes when older. Back then, all beverages, besides milk, were in glass bottles. We despised plastic when it came out, and we found that plastic bottles and aluminum cans gives soda an off taste compared to glass. There are certain ethnic groups that need to reconsider their lifestyle, and understand that other people owe them nothing.

  4. Governments have made many excuses to tax alcohol, and they're mostly all lies. Alcohol and gasoline are two of their favorites to tax with high rates.
