The 1952 election was how Nixon and the early Neocons slithered their way to the top, and brought us Neoconservatism (hidden Trotskyism) via the New York Intellectuals. After that, both parties were infected. That was why Nixon was partial to Mao and China. Of course, he also had Kissinger and Kristol whispering in his ear as they developed the G5, which later became the G7, at the Nixon White House. As far as Florida, The School of the Americas didn't have a big facility in the state for nothing, and the state is still the home of many special operation training bases, which were all aimed at fighting communism. That was where the leaders of the Cuban and South American counter-insurgents received their training.

  5.  @SeeLasSee  Yes, it started, of course, in the universities with the social scientists trying to determine what caused "deviant and criminal behavior." As Block stated, they used "Marxist Critical Theory" to determine what that was. It was a downhill slide after that, and they were responsible for pigeonholing the term "organized crime" as originating with the Sicilians, which is not correct. That term should mean, as Block states, any criminal group, which has a long history leading back hundreds of years.
