  1. The idea of allowing different ethnic groups their own communities comes from the US, and specifically, the Cajuns. Teddy Roosevelt wanted to force the Cajuns to drop their French language and culture, and fully integrate. That caused a mess, so the Cajuns, finally, were left alone. However, the Cajuns see themselves as Americans first, not foreigners, and integrated in their own way. To allow any population into your nation, and essentially allow them to not integrate, such as not speak the national language and follow their own law, is a road to ruin.
