It "seeks to advance the human condition through social reform [social activism and engineering] based on purported advancements in science, technology, economic development, and social organization. Adherents hold that progressivism has universal application, and endeavor to spread this idea to human societies everywhere." In actuality, it's international socialism; that which Trotsky promoted, and Wilson adopted. Both the New Left and Neoconservatism sprang from it.
