Here, in the US, where we've taken in people from every nation imaginable, only one group acculturated and assimilated, going so far as to shirk off their old religious and cultural beliefs, and even changing their names to American-sounding names. The rest moved to ghettos of their culture. None of the rest ever fully acculturated or assimilated.
