  1. One could almost say that it's cultural appropriation, but from their side. They took what Nightingale did, and claimed that Seacole did it as well. What Seacole did, was to start a for-profit hotel for British officers. That's not to say that they didn't have skilled people, which some try to hide, as they had some of the best craftsmen in the southern US, where they built everything from houses, to pianos, etc. They should be proud of that, as well as how many became legislators after the Civil War. This fake history harms their cause, and why they put up with it, I have no idea.
