  1. When you intend on counterfeiting, with some hostile nations willing to buy bonds, and have five major banks and the Fed go along with it, then you can cough up those huge sums. Of course, it will not cost the government one red cent, it costs the taxpayers, and the liars know it. What I would give if every credit agency dropped the corporation of the US's credit to the lowest rating. However, something tells me that the fiat currency would be printed anyhow. All I can say to these Congresspeople and Senators is that they will not be holding that position much longer, and the public might demand that they be investigated for bribery and insider trading, etc.
