@Madonnalitta1 I'm glad you are, but sadly, in the West, I've watched stay-at-home mothers decline since the sixties, when I was born, and along with that, the birthrate. Beforehand, there were many.
My parents were called the “Boomers,” but, really, that was my grandparents' generation, who “boomed,” that were born just before and after 1900, where huge families were normal. My parents' generation, which served in WWII, dropped in the number of births to around 3-4 children, even though many still stayed at home. My generation's birthrate dropped off even lower, as both parents went to work, with 1-2 children per household.
The Western Govs were all for that as they exported jobs, and became importers instead of exporters.
