When they don't get their way, they then lie about it, as the left is doing now. Before Obama, we paid for private insurance, and the rates were flexible. We also had a choice about the plan and the company. The elderly, and the disabled, has Social Security and Medicare, which pays well. I'm on it, as I am retired. The poor had Medicaid, the Health Department, and the Hospitals, which are a part of Hill-Burton, and they had to take them in and treat them. The Hill-Burton plan paid the cost. The Veterans have the VA, and if they can afford it, public physicians and hospitals. That leaves those who were above the poverty level, who could afford basic hospitalization, or they should have been able to. If one worked, many had employer paid health insurance. It was found that a good amount of the people, who were placed on Medicaid after Obamacare, were already qualified for it, but had never applied for it. 84%, as of January 2017, were on Medicaid. This tells me that there is a minority, who wants others to fund their insurance, because they don't want to work to pay for the total cost of it, or pay at all. I think that the ones who are complaining, are the same minority who receive it for free, or at little cost, because they raised the minimum income level for those who had to pay. (Young adults working in the service industry, etc). Of course, when you have teachers telling students that capitalism is bad, and that they should take (steal) from the bourgeoisie and rich, this is the entitled crowd we get. They have created a bunch of Bernie Sanders cloned brats. Why should you or I pay for someone else, who we do not know, or have no familiar ties with, let alone, someone other than our immediate family? One would think that these people have no idea about what personal responsibility is.

Yes, it is a deep philosophical question. Why should I pay for you, whom I do not know, and am not related to? If you dropped dead tomorrow, because you failed to take care of yourself, (personal responsibility), I wouldn't know, nor would I particularly care. My family comes first. The very words you just spouted, were the same words from Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Mark spouted them, because daddy dearest, a wealthy attorney, cut him off. Engels was wealthy. They both planned to start a political party, and make everyone poor, except those running the government, which would have been them and their cronies at the helm, under the Communist League political party. Their party members, all anarchists, acted the very way that ANTIFA are now. The regressives, wanting to take people back to pre-1600, and put everyone under feudalism. After all, that is what Marxism is, rebranded serfdom. The USSR and Mao's China are two very good examples, along with Venezuela now. The first two murdered more innocent people than the Nazis did during WWII. Also, it might pay you to know, that the old money is almost gone. It was many years back, as the British aristocracy, who lost everything, were marrying people from the US, who had new money, the nouveau riche. That was people back in the 1920s, and 1930s, who had made it big in the oil industry, etc. Most everyone in the US, are nouveau riche, especially today's Silicon Valley lot. Funnily enough, they're mostly leftists, who borrowed from banks (capitalism), to get there.
