  1. I always did think that the Astors were also involved with Wilson, which would have been his tie directly to the British aristocracy (Cliveden Set), besides Morgan with banking. Nancy Witcher Langhorne Astor, (born Nancy Witcher Langhorne), had moved to England and married the American-born Englishman, Waldorf Astor, in 1906. This was also the time of the old British aristocracy intermarrying with the nouveau riche in the US, because the old British houses were almost insolvent. The birth of Winston Churchill was also a result of this.
