No matter what the left says, the United States is a republic, and it was formed on republicanism. I am not speaking of the Republican party here, but actual republicanism. Look below for the definition of that.

The revolutions were all based upon this, including Britain, (though they kept a limited monarchy, with a constitution), the US, France, and Italy. Republicanism is based upon democracy, liberty, protection of self and the free state, free thinking and speech, secular education of the masses, a separation of church and state, and against the divine right of kings. That is republicanism.
