  2. I know of a young man, who was reared as a girl over his parents, that ended up as a female model. This person was from Copenhagen. It seems that there are a few agencies that look for these individuals, so who you see walking down the runway might not be female these days. Their family is at the root of much of it.

  3. Ah, but Simon, they were supposed to go through psychiatric evaluation before receiving any surgery. That is where gender dysphoria is first treated, thus, it falls in the psychotherapist's lap. I've often suspected the cause as being dysfunctional and abusive families. Even a rough environment outside the home could lead to it.
