  1. I cannot understand why people pay such a huge price for their trainers, when they have nothing in them, and were produced by Eastern low-wage labor. It's one of the largest money-making scams in the West. When I was in school, our favorite was Converse, and if you played ball, it was the white leather ankle-tops. I still have a pair from 83, and I have worn them occasionally since. The UK basketball team wore them as well. However, they were never as expensive as the brand in question, and nobody was stealing them if you left them out.
