The WTO was created after the ball had already been set in motion at the end of WWII with the UN, and after the creation of the NIEO in 1974, when all the "third-world nations" banded together to form a new economic order. Nixon, Kissinger, and Kristol helped that along, which led to the outsourcing of the west's manufacturing to the rest of Asia. The WTO was a result of it, and the G5, founded at the Nixon White House, which became the G7, was fully in support of it. War is always caused by economics and trade, no matter the excuses the western governments use, and that led to WWI and WWII. Colonialism and imperialism were blamed for it, of course, as well as capitalism. That is why the NIEO and BRICS nations are attacking the west and its values, now.
