  1. LOL! They were your and my ancestors, and I'd have to say that they were lily white. My ancestors were, at one time, the Lords of a small manor in northeast Hampshire, (around Chandlers Green ), though they gave the manor to the church, and left for London, before some came to the US in the 1670s, settling in Maryland. It was because they were Catholics, and escaping the plague, at the time.
