  1. The news, from the earliest days of the newspapers, has never been truthful. The media business is where propaganda was refined and made into a well-oiled machine. One remembers the great newspaper war between Pulitzer and Hearst, where the yellow pen was born. Sensationalism and shock value was spread abroad. Why anyone would want a Pulitzer Prize is beyond me, since it means you're at the top for being a smear merchant, warmonger, and muckraker.
