@raypurchase801 That, and most of his "researched data," was incorrect and false. Several scholars called him out on it. He was guilty of cherry picking non-factual information that would support the story, and creating circular reporting, whereby he would quote what he started in the press as fact.

@J J Many of them still believe everything they're told by act ivists, including the tale of the author in mention. There is a modern published African-American historian and scholar, Sowell, who has tried to teach factual history, but it seems that they do not listen. However, he, himself, is hung up on the "great Lincoln" and "the war was about slavery" myths as well. There is a group of scholars at the Abbeville Institute (channel on here), that have produced several lectures about the real history of those days. It agrees with what Simon has published as well.
